​“Presbyterian Pecans” // Closing out the year with a few random images that have not been posted.

“I’ve got pecans for anyone who wants them,” exclaimed our General Presbyter and Stated Clerk Rev. Jerrod Lowry, carrying a plastic bag brimming with nuts into our meeting. But as he further explained, these were “Presbyterian Pecans” to be precise. They had come from trees on the grounds of the Acme Presbyterian Church in Riegelwood, NC. While others may have been thinking “pie,” my thoughts went immediately to “how can I photograph these?”

First up, a local car show in September that my father-in-law and I enjoyed strolling through. There were muscle cars, classics, and a few modern variants thrown into the mix. My father-in-law’s encyclopedic knowledge, memory, and stories of different makes and models is absolutely amazing. I just like certain cars because they look cool!
